Offered periodically:
Novice Obedience
Novice Obedience will focus on the exercises that are needed to obtain your Companion Dog title (CD). It will be beneficial to the team that is ready to compete or to the novice just starting out!
For you and your dog to succeed in this class, you will need clear and consistent cues and the following:
- You will need a marker word, praise word, and a release word.
- Your dog should have a reliable recall (come when called)
- Your dog must be comfortable working in a group of other dogs and people.
The class will focus on helping you learn attention skills first, before any formal heeling.
The exercises in this class will be taught and then proofed.
We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to have fun with their dogs!
This is a 6 week class. Each class period is 45 min. long. The cost is $75.
